PATTERNS AND TEXTURES

Our latest outing was in the Betty’s Bay area where a savage wind was blowing so we took refuge in the Harold Porter Garden which is always a favorite destination.

This lovely, secluded garden is set between mountain and sea in the center of the coastal fynbos where the flora is at its richest. The mountain slopes of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve were particularly beautiful and as we walked along the river, my attention was drawn to the various patterns and texture I found in nature.
